Weird kids

Jake: "Mom, did you know that families are forever and that kitchen boots bring families together?"
Me: "Kitchen boots? What's a kitchen boot?"
Jake: "I don't know."

When I asked him where he had heard that, he said that he saw it at Auntie Dana and Uncle Derek's house. Upon further investigation, apparently Dana and Derek have a sign that says "Kitchens Bring Families Together" in their kitchen, but Jake was certain that it was "Kitchen boots" for a while.

Tonight we were lying on the family room floor playing board games and Rachel laid on top of my back. She put her head down and said, "Mama, you are just like a pillow. A big soft, squishy pillow." She then laid on Steve and called him a couch.

WOW! that is so funny. You never know what kids notice or remember. I think that is great!

That is funny! I like just sitting back and listening to the things my kids say...usually there is always something funny, or weird they will say!
