Ice Blocking!

The youth at church had a BBQ/Ice blocking activity at a park nearby.  Steve and I both had to be there, so we brought all the kids.  I got this video of Jake and Becka (and Gillian) sliding (or trying to) down the hill.  Ice blocking is so much fun!!

Last day of school!

June 22 was the last day of school for the year!  Jakey's last day as a third grader, Rachie's last day of Kindergarten and Becka's last day of 7th grade. 

Becka and Marissa (her bff) decided to dress up for the last day of school.  I am not exaggerating when I say that Becka has not worn a dress or skirt to school since second grade!  I am still in shock that she wore this willingly.  They looked super cute!

Birthday for my Baby Bear

I have a 13 year old.  I have a 13 year old.  I HAVE A 13 YEAR OLD????????  What the heck happened?  I swear these kids keep getting older, but I don't.  How can I be old enough to be the mother of a 13 year old?  We just won't talk about that.  Becka had a nice birthday.  We celebrated with ice cream cake and presents, plus we took her out for dinner at Red Robin the next day.  Grandpa Ard was over so it was extra special because he got to come to Red Robin with us!

School Project

The third grade has been studying Native Americans and one of their projects was to build a Native American longhouse and bring it to display at school during their program.  Now, before you see it, I do have to add a disclaimer.  Jake DID help me on this.  I PROMISE!  He did a lot of the gluing and the painting and helped me with ideas.  I did make the trees all by myself though.  I seriously ♥love♥ my glue gun!
