Hello

Well, the auction night is done. Becka made more than her camp fee, so I am happy. I practically killed myself that week, prepping for everything. Friday I was on my feet all day long. Baking, cooking, cleaning, then setting up for the dinner, etc. I was sore the next day, but I'm so glad it;s over. Next year, remind me of how miserable and stressed I was and I'll just fork out the 135 bucks for her camp. LOL!! I was pretty proud that my cake went for $19 and I had two boxes of four cinnamon rolls that went for $10 each!
My birthday went pretty good. Jake's Pinewood Derby was that morning at 8:30 way up in Ridgefield, so we didn't get to sleep in. Jake's car took first place in every race it ran, and so he gets to go to regionals next month. He's pretty excited about it. It's a good thing Steve is an engineer and can help Jake with all that stuff. They had a good time building and painting his car.
One of my best friends, Melissa, came up and took me to lunch and we stopped at a couple of stores to look for something I'd been waiting to use my birthday money on. Of course, the two things I've really wanted to get forever weren't there when I finally had the money for them. I was sad, but that's the way it seems to go for me. We found a few other things that we liked/needed. I'm excited about a big insulated bag I got. I'm gonna use it when we go out on the wave runners this summer. I usually have several bags and the cooler, stroller, life jackets, etc and it's a big pain. I'm hoping to get the packing down to a couple of bags so that I have a good system that works better.
Anyway, back to my birthday. After Melissa dropped me off, I watched the movie Despicable Me with the family. We watched it at the beach house last time we went and I loved it, so Steve got it for me for my bday. It is so funny!!! After the movie, we made the stuff for Cafe Rio and went to my mom's house to have that and cake/ice cream with her, my brother's family and my grandparents. Sunday, we had dinner at the Ard's, and I got to share a bday celebration with my cutie pie nephew Lukas. He turned one on the 8th.
Monday, Steve took me to Ikea (again, the thing I'd been waiting for was gone. Ugh!), and then we had strawberry shortcake at Tebo's. Yummmm!!!
I have a ton of pictures that I need to share with you all...I will do that as soon as I can. Hannah's crib is in the office, and since the only time I have for working on the computer is when she's sleeping, I haven't gotten a lot done lately. Right now I'm on Steve's work laptop in the family room. :)
